In case you have an accident or breakdown with your vehicle on an Autobahn or a similar large street it is a great advantage to know about your Highway-Milestone/Street-Kilometer to be able to tell it to police, wrecking- and rescue-service. They use it to determine your exact position and get to know between which street-entrances and exits you are located. Map-Services do not prepare that service yet and it may be dangerous to walk a large distance on such a street just to get to see the next milestone, and of course time matters within such an incident.

This App uses the location determination of your smartphone as well as about 100'000 entrys of highway-milestones to gain knowlege about your current street-kilometer with an accuracy of approximately +/- 10 to 250 meters. The accuracy is beeing displayed as exact as possible to avoid false reports, deviations are less probable.

The application is simle and working with it is easy and straight forward. There is a helping-page, bright- and dark-mode, the choice between a singletime and a periodic request as well as the possibility to choose between German and English.

Location data is only being stored locally and is not transferred anywhere. Other data is neither necessary nor requested.
The App is and will be free and free of ads.
